Still with us


Every picture tells a story and all that. I love this photograph. It's got everything: Hollywood actor Jack Cassidy with glamorous second wife, and star in her own right, Shirley Jones, and his pop sensation son, David, at a glitzy awards ceremony. Taken back in 1971 when the world was a very different place. Sadly, only Jones is left - she was 90 earlier this year. Crikey.

    That's a great photo and I know exactly what I was doing in 1971 - swooning over David Cassidy. Nice to hear that Shirley Jones is still with us. She was in some of the best musicals from the golden age.

      You weren't the only one. I knew loads of girls who were also swooning over DC. And Donny Osmond. And Marc Bolan.
      I've probably mentioned it before, but Cassidy's autobiography is a must read. He lifts the lid on a lot of what went on around that time.
