I Had too Much to Dream Last Night

It's only Thursday and already this week I've had two back-to-back nights of lockdown dreams; my first since it began nearly four months ago. I'm usually a good sleeper as well, so dreaming of social distancing is not what I go to bed for, can I just tell you. I even got up at 3am a couple of nights ago just to break the cycle. I went downstairs, put the kettle on and read a couple of chapters of my book. (Then again, I'm currently reading Kafka - perhaps that's not helping?) Maybe tonight I'll dream about the Surfrajettes instead.

The Surfrajettes - I Had too Much to Dream Last Night (2018)

  1. More great footage of guitarists - Love the sound of the Surfragettes (clever).

My sleep patterns are rubbish at the moment and the 2 hours of book reading during the night is typical. Throws your next day though. I read far too much news online, especially just before I try to get to sleep. Bad move but can’t snap out of it.

    1. I've also seen my first ghost in lockdown. Now that was weird. Not in any way frightening, just weird.

    2. Think that’s an idea for another blog post?

  3. Excellent! Loved the original, love this treatment, love the fact that they're female too, love the look. So big thanks!
Also dreaming about lockdown/virus stuff all the time now. I was in a packed crowd in one recently, wondering why no-one was keeping their distance and worrying about it. It shows how quickly a different way of thinking/behaving has already embedded itself in our subconscious. By the way - seeing yourother comment above, I really would like to read about your ghost!

    1. They're great aren't they? They gave a Britney Spears hit a surf makeover a while back and, apparently, the video went viral.
Yes, ghosts. I'm not sure what happened there; I'm still trying to process it.
