| Gibson takes centre stage |
So said Alfred Hitchcock in this personal theatrical trailer to his 1959 classic North By Northwest. It being my birthday today, I'm going to see it on the big screen for the first time this afternoon. I'm very excited.And in true Cary Grant style I may be celebrating later with a Gibson or two. It's shaping up to be a great day.

ReplyDeleteI've seen the movie countless times before - Sunday afternoons on the BBC, ropey copies on VHS, DVD - but never on the big screen. And, yes, Eva Marie Saint is every bit as gorgeous on a screen the size of a house as she is on the telly, only more so!
DeleteA belated Happy Birthday John and what a treat to see NBNW on the big screen - I remember watching it on telly a couple of Christmases ago and to my horror realised that the outside of my house looks like the inside of the Mount Rushmore cafeteria circa 1959. That pesky Fyfestone pops up everywhere.
