Lisbon
Eusébio, my friend JT, and Super Bock. There, that's about my sum knowledge of Portugal. Oh, and Baxter Dury (great Portugal reference - below). Maybe by the time I get back from Lisbon on Monday I'll know a bit more.
Before you head off to Portugal, may I add to your knowledge of that country by pointing out that the 1st British team to win the Champions League were "The Lisbon Lions" - the nickname given to the Celtic team that won the European Cup (as it was then known) at the Estádio Nacional near Lisbon, Portugal on 25 May 1967, defeating Inter Milan 2–1. All but one member of the 15 man squad were born within 10 miles of Celtic Park, Glasgow (The one who wasn't was left winger Bobby Lennox who was born in Saltcoats, 30 miles from Glasgow. After the game was over, Celtic manager Jock Stein said: "Winning was important, aye, but it was the way that we won that has filled me with satisfaction. We did it by playing football; pure, beautiful, inventive football.
Safe travels John.

And yes, I'm a fan.
Have a great time.
