Feeling giddy
Going on holiday earlier this year didn't do it. And nor does the imminent prospect of Christmas. But the feeling you get just before you start a new book. That's giddy.
I used to get exactly the same feeling when taking the nose of a brand new LP sleeve, immediately before putting stylus to groove for the first time. Digital files? Meh.
