Time shifting

Doing anything for Christmas? I'm time shifting. Trawling through the Radio Times double ish is never easy at the best of times, but, once I've established what's on BBC Radio 4, 4X, 3, 6, 2, Ulster (Gerry Anderson) and Wales (Rhod Gilbert), I'll be able to sort out my holiday podcast listening. I shan't be bothering with the telly - too many box sets to wade through.

If I don't see you before, have a good one.

  1. We buy a TV guide every week - be honest I don't know why... oh I do, my wife reads what is happening in Eastenders before watching it then says thinks like "He cheats on her..." before it happens... odd.

I use it about once a week to go through and set the recorder thing up to record what I want to watch which I rarely watch at the time it will be on... largely as a lot of evenings I'm out.

Then it sits there open at Monday or Tuesday until I throw it in the recycling on Friday night....

Given both the TV and the PVR have searchable EPGs any way (can I get another tech acronym in here anywhere?) we probably don't need it... oh yes we do to read up about the soap... :-S

  2. What an invention Podcasts are! I've started listening to Radio 7, er I mean Radio 4X again. It provides good company on evening sessions at work.

  3. I'd be lost without Podcasts: The Now Show, The News Quiz, The Moth, The Word, Play Of The Week, Podrophenia, Gerry Anderson, Lake Wobegon, Rhod Gilbert etc. etc.
